Privacy

What we store

• Account (optional): your email and a hashed password, so you can save a watchlist, portfolio, alerts and theses. We never store your password in plain text.
• Your saved items: the tickers, positions and alerts you choose to add.
• Anonymous analytics: page views with a random ID kept in your browser’s localStorage — no tracking cookies, no IP stored, no personal data. Your IP is used only transiently to derive a coarse country/city and is then discarded. Visits to the admin area aren’t counted.
• Error reports: if a page crashes, we log the technical error (message, stack, page) to fix it.

Cookies

We use no advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie we set is a strictly-necessary session cookie when you sign in, so you stay logged in. Analytics use an anonymous id in localStorage, not a cookie.

Email

If you create an account or set alerts, we send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, triggered price alerts) via Resend. The weekly digest is opt-in (off by default) and every digest has a one-click unsubscribe. We don’t send unsolicited marketing email.

Service providers (sub-processors)

• Market data & news: Yahoo Finance, Financial Modeling Prep, CoinGecko, SEC EDGAR, Google News RSS — no personal data is sent to them.
• Email: Resend (your email address + message content for the emails above).
• Geolocation: ip-api.com receives your IP transiently to derive a coarse country/city; the IP is not stored.
• AI features: if you use a Claude-powered feature, the question you type is sent to Anthropic to generate the response. We don’t send your account details.

We don’t share your personal data with advertisers, and we don’t sell it.

Your rights & choices

You can access, correct or delete your data. Edit or remove your watchlist/portfolio/alerts/theses any time; to correct your email/name or to request full account deletion (or a copy of your data), email contact@alphalucid.com. You can turn the weekly digest off from your profile or via the unsubscribe link in any digest.
